Beverley is a Designer Maker who uses machine and hand embroidery in her work, often adding, sequins, beads and recycled facrics. She has exhibited at Corbridge Tourist Information Centre, Northumberland and Lamplight Gallery Art Centre, Stanley. Bev's work has recently been selected for exhibition in the Dover Art Competition at Darlington Art Centre, where she was awarded 'Highly Commended' by the judges.
Omi is a feltmaker who works with locally sourced fleece. Omi creates Felt Art books incorporating text so that the reader can see and touch her words and interpret their meaning. She is a member of the International Feltmakers Association and is on the committee. In the past she has run felt workshops for Age Concern, Newcastle, Queens Hall in Hexham, FiFieFoFum Gallery in Northumberland and Network Artists. She has exhibited with The IFA and at Corbridge Tourist Information Centre.
Omi is currently exhibiting four small CD sized pieces of felt in the Made To Fit Exhibition at the Willis Museum in Basingstoke from 20 March - 17 April to celebrate International Womens Day - www.womenswork.org.uk
